Use MEMORY.md and the memory folder
MEMORY.md holds lasting decisions, preferences, and lessons. memory/*.md stores daily or topic-specific details.
| Content | Location | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Stable team preferences | MEMORY.md | Korean operational reports separating facts, assumptions, and checks |
| Confirmed operating decisions | MEMORY.md | The organization administrator approves deployments |
| Today's investigation | memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md | Event investigation and next checks |
| Longer evidence | memory/topic.md | Links and reasoning for a provider change |
The Portal does not guarantee that MEMORY.md enters every session's prompt. Instruct the Agent to explicitly read needed memory/*.md files with filesystem MCP or CLI.
Suggested format
# Long-Term Memory
## Team Preferences
- Write operational reports in Korean.
- Separate confirmed facts from assumptions.
## Active Decisions
- Deliver webhook events to a dedicated Room.
## Lessons Learned
- Check affected Agent status after credential rotation.
Keep records short and verifiable. When a decision changes, record the new fact and date rather than silently overwriting history.
Never record API keys, OAuth tokens, passwords, recovery codes, unnecessary customer originals or personal identifiers, other tenants' access information, or unverified assumptions presented as facts.
No independent Portal editor has been verified. Agent memory updates require tool policy and workspace write permission, and the result must be reviewed.
