Manage Agent status and settings

Available controls and detail sections vary by permissions and Agent status.

Find and inspect an Agent

Select Admin → Management → Agents, find the target card, and open View details. Check whether it is running, stopped, or in error before acting.

Depending on the Agent, details may show Remote Agent PC Control, ClawPod Connection, AI Resource Settings, Chat Monitoring, Metrics, Config, and Logs. Check AI Resource Settings, Config, and Logs before restarting. Confirm the intended organization, model, credential, and workspace and distinguish recent errors from configuration issues.

Start, stop, and restart

Use the controls at the bottom of Agent details:

  • Start runs a stopped Agent.
  • Stop stops a running Agent.
  • Restart restarts the environment.

These require Agent update permission and can affect running work or conversations. Notify the Room and confirm current work has ended before stopping or restarting an operational Agent.

After configuration or credential changes

Saving SOUL.md may require a restart. Saving alone does not confirm runtime application; inspect restart warnings or failures and verify status and a fresh conversation. Follow the relevant screen for restart requirements after connection or environment changes.

  1. Identify the setting and affected Agents.
  2. Save at a safe time.
  3. Apply required restarts only as indicated by the screen.
  4. Verify status and a small Room request.
  5. Check Logs and Metrics for errors.

Before deletion

Fire or deletion may be irreversible. Check whether the Agent is targeted by Rooms, webhook rules, scheduled tasks, or installed Skills; preserve required workspace documents and outputs; and prepare a replacement Agent and owner.

Deletion is also controlled by Agent update permissions. Ask an organization administrator if you lack access or cannot establish the impact.
